SIAL America unites the international food and beverage industry with its US debut

SIAL America, the premier cross-category food and beverage trade show debuted in the United States, welcoming domestic and international exhibitors, key importers, catering companies, distributors, retailers, wholesalers and restaurateurs , boosting the industry by $1.5 trillion as it continues to recover from the pandemic. As part of the inauguration Food and Beverage Industry Week in Las Vegas (LVFBIW), which featured four premier food shows including SIAL America, Bar & Restaurant Expo, Pizza Expo and World Tea Conference + Expo, the massive event kicked off on National Agriculture Day, a nod to look at the farmers and ranchers who make the food on our possible board.

SIAL America welcomed over 4,600 industry professionals from the United States and 60 international countries to the Las Vegas Convention Center. Attendees connected and purchased products from leading national exhibitors including Butterball and the California Milk Advisory Board, and were also able to network with the strong and diverse roster of international pavilions that participated in the launch of SIAL America with representation from LatAm (Argentina, Brazil), Europe (France, Italy, Poland), Africa (Morocco, Tunisia) and many more.

Attendees connected with exhibitors seamlessly through SIAL America’s matchmaking platform to host nearly 700 formal meetings and take advantage of SIAL’s comprehensive food information and education sessions led by industry thought leaders including “Inside The Chocolate Industry” with Pat Egan, President and CEO of See’s Candies, “The Era of Food on Demand” with Michael Schaefer, Global Food & Beverage Lead of Euromonitor, “Benefits of Animal-Product Traceability” with Steve Sands, President of PFG Protein Brands, and “Beverage Trends in 2022” with Howard Telford, Head of Non-Alcoholic Beverages at Euromonitor. Companies in attendance included The Culinary Institute of America, MGM Resorts International, JBS Imports and Publix Supermarkets.

SIAL America also announced the winners of this year’s Innovation Awards, awarding Bronze to Stonewall Kitchen in Maine, Silver to TipiCilentani in Italy and Gold to The Fresh Chili Co. in New Mexico. of 700,000.

Setting the stage for the global future of food and beverage, SIAL America will return to the Las Vegas Convention Center next year for its second annual show which will take place March 28-30, 2023.
