FRANKFURT, Ky. (WTVQ) – The United States Department of Agriculture has established new income eligibility guidelines to participate in free or reduced-price meals under the Child and Adult Food Program for 2022-2023.

CACFP provides meals and snacks to people who attend child care centers, daycares, Head Start programs, adult daycares, homeless shelters and after-school programs, according to a news release. The program also aims to establish positive eating habits in the early stages of development; reduces future health care and education costs by encouraging good early development; and provides training and support to local center staff.
