Openwork partnership signs agreement with Co-op Legal Services

The Openwork Partnership has partnered with Co-op Legal Services to provide legal services.

The arrangement will allow The Openwork Partnership to provide a range of legal assistance services, including wills, probate, family and employment law, to advisors and their clients.

The demand for legal services has increased since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic as more clients realize the need for estate planning as well as help with employment and family issues, according to the firm.

Research from Co-op Legal Services shows that 79% of counselors believe that better estate planning services would help them better support their clients and that 50% of couples did not have a will.

Paul Shearman, Director of Mortgage Proposal and Protection at The Openwork Partnership, said: “We wanted to partner with a firm capable of providing a wide range of legal services and Co-op Legal’s award-winning digital proposition. Service is exceptionally strong.

“We are sure it will be well received by advisors and their clients at a time when recognition of the importance of many available services has increased dramatically due to the pandemic.”

Jonathan Appleby, Head of Corporate Partners at Co-op Legal Services, added: “We are delighted to be working with The Openwork Partnership, which provides important financial advice to its clients.

“Legal services can play an important role in an individual’s financial well-being and we look forward to providing support to The Openwork Partnership advisors and their clients. “
