New personalized drink service seeks to mimic candy enthusiasm
Daile Food claims to be one of the first companies in the field of personalized drinks and allows consumers on its website to choose from a series of products ranging from superfoods, skin foods, weight control, health tonics, nutrition for adults and children and sports performance.
Within each series, consumers choose a base which can range from milk, coffee, tea, juice, and yogurt. For each base there are also options for vegetable and flavored versions.
After that, consumers choose the functional ingredients they want in their product. Daile Food offers a variety of ingredients, including vitamins, minerals, probiotics, prebiotics, DHA, collagen, ginger, chia seeds, fiber, and pea protein isolates, to avoid name a few.

According to project manager Jinn Lim, the idea for Daile Food came after seeing Nourished Asia gain traction, which is expected to grow by 30% to 35% this year.
Nourished Asia primarily sells functional powdered ingredients in a la carte model form, but also has a personalized nutrition service where company professionals develop a plan for the consumer based on a questionnaire.
The company says the new “Pick and Pack” beverage shopping experience was inspired by the concept of a candy counter where consumers have the freedom to pull candy from a counter and pay for whatever they want. .
“As a child the excitement I received (from those candy counters) was memorable and I wanted to provide a similar experience to adults now in the form of healthy food. It’s the luxury of being able to customize something for yourself and only receive what they need.”Lim said.

Besides Malaysia, it also serves consumers in Singapore, Brunei, Australia and Hong Kong. So far, around 65% of its business is domestic.
Daile Food is exploring a subscription service in the future, as well as expanding its core range and markets.
