Job: Business Development/Sales Manager at BFC Foods and Beverages Limited

The BFC Polythene company is a branch of the BFC FMCG group which specializes in the production of polyethylene products for the packaging of food, beverages, newspapers and many other product lines for daily needs such as silk, horticulture, bank bags and shopping bags.

POSITION SUMMARY
This is a key leadership role that manages all business relationships and paves the way for new business opportunities. This position serves as the senior representative of the company and reports directly to the General Manager. He is responsible for upholding the company’s code of conduct and spreading the company’s product across Nigeria.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and drive the business development/marketing arm of the company
  • Develop and implement world-class marketing strategies and build/manage client relationships
  • Development and delivery of sales proposals and presentations
  • Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within agreed budgets
  • Identify and develop new markets, new customers and expand the company’s customer base
  • Achieve monthly sales goals and grow existing businesses
  • Gather market intelligence and provide insightful feedback on competitor pricing
  • Increase overall sales efficiency and profitability through excellent sales acumen
  • Conduct market research to identify new businesses and/or opportunities
  • Identify key market segments and develop marketing plans
  • Build strong relationships with customers, business partners, among others

Terms:

  • Candidates should have a first degree in marketing, business administration or any other relevant field
  • An MBA or Masters degree is an added advantage
  • Additional Qualifications / Membership of relevant professional bodies is an added advantage
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience
  • Experience selling FMCG products is essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to manage people and drive a sales solution
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good network/contacts
