Here are the best breweries, beer bars and beer bars in Chandler.

For craft beer lovers, Chandler has some great options. Downtown Chandler in particular is full of restaurants, cafes, and shops, and there is no shortage of places to enjoy a pint.

Many of Chandlers craft beer options are close together, perfect for a beer tour or a day of tasting. Stroll downtown and visit tropical birds at The Perch Brewery, stop at Pedal Haus for lunch, then head to the SanTan Brewing production facility to see how the magic is done.

Chandler’s other beer destinations include Quarthaus, a downtown bar with a few house beers to offer; Helluva brewery, a brasserie and barbecue restaurant on Ray Road; the Twisted cactus, another option for local beers and barbecue; and Hop Central Brewery and Taproom, a shopping center offering a mix of local and foreign beers as well as four house options.

Here is a beer enthusiast’s guide to the must-see breweries and beer bars in Chandler.

Meet your friends at these casual hangouts

Keep an open mind during your visits The Brasserie de la Perche in downtown Chandler. The thought of beer and birds may be unusual, but the rescued tropical birds filling the edges of the large patio add an element of fun – and it doesn’t hurt that the beer is top notch. A huge patio filled with umbrellas and bougainvillea surrounds a cozy indoor bar, which also serves a full menu for brunch, lunch, and dinner. A large rooftop patio provides more seating outside. The beer menu offers 20 beers on tap and rotates seasonally. For those who aren’t beer lovers, try a creative cocktail, each named after a – you guessed it – bird.

The sleeping whale could be the perfect place to spend a weekend afternoon. This bright and airy space is filled with picnic tables ideal for groups of friends and family. Craft Beer Entrepreneur Fans Justin Evans’ other bars and bottle shops across the valley, including Downtown’s Theodore and Tempe’s The Golden Pineapple, will love this Chandler spot. Choose your pint from a large list of rotary taps featuring a selection of local and national craft beers. Once you’re ready to head home, grab a six-pack from the fridges full of interesting cans and bottles.

These places have great food and great beer

Pedal Haus Brewery the original location is in the middle of Mill Avenue in Tempe. But in the spring of 2020, Pedal Haus celebrated its grand opening in downtown Chandler. While smaller than Tempe’s location, fans can still expect a welcoming brew pub with indoor and outdoor seating and an extensive menu. Some of the draft beers include Pedal Haus favorites White Rabbit Hazy IPA and Biere Blanche, a traditional Belgian wheat beer that won gold at the Great American Beer Festival 2018.

SanTan Brewery helped put Chandler on the craft beer map, and the area’s largest brewery has multiple locations in his hometown. Find the adjacent Spirit House brewery and cocktail bar downtown, or visit the massive production brewery a few miles north on Warner Road. SanTan’s downtown location offers a full menu for brunch, lunch, and dinner with classic pub fare including pizza, burgers, and tacos. IPA lovers rejoice, as three of SanTan’s six flagship beers fall into the high hop category.
