Easy ways to cut calories from your daily diet
It is estimated that 45 million Americans will make a commitment to lose weight this year, but within two weeks of starting a diet, 25% will abandon their weight loss goals.
Sixty-five percent of those who are successful on a fad diet will eventually regain their full weight.
But what if you stop dieting. What if instead, you just cut a hundred calories from your day each day?
Cutting back on calories doesn’t have to leave you hungry.
Want to enjoy the foods you love without feeling guilty? When eating pizza, dab the fat floating on top with a napkin. This will reduce fat as well as 50 calories per slice.
Think salads are a healthy option? They can be, but not if they dip in high calorie salad dressings. Lighten up your leafy greens by mixing ranch or Italian seasonings with plain Greek yogurt. Take out a hundred calories in the process.
Instead of putting your breakfast sandwich on a bagel, swap it out for an English muffin and cut at least two hundred calories each morning.
Do you use spray oils while cooking? Otherwise, make the change! Liquid oils, even extra virgin olive oils, add up to around 120 calories per tablespoon. Use spray oils instead of pouring straight from the bottle. They will easily save you a hundred calories.
If you cut two hundred calories a day from your diet and burn three hundred calories a day while exercising, you would lose about a pound a week. That’s four to five pounds per month, which can really help with quick and easy weight loss.
