CAMDEN, New Jersey – (COMMERCIAL THREAD) –Campbell Soup Company (NYSE: CPB) today announced the appointment of Charles Nevin to Chief Customer Officer, Meals & Beverages, effective November 29, 2021. Nevin succeeds Pierson, who has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Sales, Meals & Beverages at Head of Customer Snacks in August 2021. Pierson led both sales organizations on an interim basis.
Nevin will lead the U.S. retail efforts for Campbell’s soups, sauces and beverages business, driving the growth of its strong portfolio of brands, including Campbell’s, Well yes!, Chunky, Pacific foods, V8, Prego, Pace, Swanson, and SpaghettiBones. He will report to Chris Foley, President, Meals and Beverages.

Nevin joins Campbell from Family Dollar, where he served as Senior Vice President of Merchandising / General Manager of Merchandise for the past four years. Prior to this role, Nevin led merchandising for non-perishable products at The Fresh Market. With over 30 years of retail and consumer products experience, Nevin brings a wealth of food experience through his roles at Nabisco, Kraft Foods and Hillshire Brands. Previously, he worked at Campbell from 2005 to 2012 in sales and marketing roles, including leading customer teams at Albertsons and Walmart, in addition to serving as Commercial Director at Chunky Soupe. He received his BA from Ohio Wesleyan University.
Pierson has been with Campbell since 2019. In this new role, Pierson leads the company’s US Snacks sales teams, as well as the company’s Latin America and global export operations. The Snacks business comprises a unique and differentiated portfolio with brands such as Goldfish crackers, Snyder from Hanover pretzels, End of July tortillas, Kettle brand potato chips, Cape Cod potato chips, Milan cookies, Pepperidge Farm cookies and bread, Spear crackers and more. He reports to Valerie Oswalt, President, Campbell Snacks.

Pierson joined Campbell from Materne in North America, where he served as Client Manager for two years. He was previously a partner and senior vice president of sales at Hello delicious brands!. Prior to this role, Pierson spent over a decade in sales leadership and strategy roles at PepsiCo, and nearly eight years as a sales manager at Acosta Sales and Marketing. He was Vice President of Business Strategy and Business Marketing at Pepperidge Farm from 2013 to 2015. Mike received his bachelor’s degree from Saint-Bonaventure University. He sits on the board of governors of the Food Marketing Academy at St. Joseph’s University.
