Ardent recently filed plans to transform 31,667 square feet of existing office space on the ground floor of the Piedmont Center into a combination of retail and restaurant uses.

“When Ardent acquired Piedmont Center’s newest building last summer, we took control of the entire campus and looked for ways to reinvent it,” Michel Guynnchief executive of Ardent, said in a statement to And now Atlanta. “This includes campus activation with enhanced food and drink.”

According to the plans, the modifications would concern buildings 1 to 4 and the courtyard that connects them. A site plan shows a 5,500+ square foot brewery, a nearly 5,500 square foot market deli, and over 11,000 square feet of additional food and beverage uses. New retail spaces and upgraded outdoor dining spaces are also in the works.

“The conversion will activate ground floor spaces and provide necessary retail, food and beverage uses for existing office tenants and the general public,” the application submitted to Atlanta states.

The project is set to be presented to Buckhead’s Development Review Board on Nov. 2, according to an agenda from Livable Buckhead.
